The Afrandeh Mobile App: Check-in, Leave and Service Referrals on Android
The Afrandeh mobile app for Android 7+: check in and out, leave requests, service referrals and field shipment entry. Seven tasks, three groups; company-code activation.
Some of an organization's work never happens at a desk: recording check-in and check-out, following up leave, answering a service request or entering a shipment's data on site. That is why Afrandeh has a mobile app for Android that puts these tasks within reach with your own user account. The app does not replace the web version; it only brings field tasks to the phone. For the download and install guide, see the Afrandeh mobile app page.
What does the app do?
Today there are seven pages in the app menu, which fall into three groups.
Attendance and personal tasks
- Check in / out: record attendance with the phone's location; if the company has coordinates defined, the recording range is checked too.
- Leave and mission requests: submit and follow your own requests.
- My performance agreement: see your own performance agreement and scorecard.
After-sales service
- Respond to service referrals: a service technician sees their own referrals and responds.
- Refer service to a technician: refer approved after-sales service requests to a technician.
Documents and shipments
- Document genealogy: see a document's path in the document chain, from its source to the documents that follow.
- Field shipment entry: record shipment data on site, from the "Shipments and goods tracking" page.
How does it start?
The app is specific to your company, which is why activation uses a company activation code. Afrandeh gives this code to your company and the system administrator receives it. The steps:
- Download the install file (APK) from the app page; the phone must run Android 7 or later.
- Install the file; Android may ask you to allow installs from this source.
- Open the app, enter the activation code, sign in with your own account and choose the company and fiscal year.
To record check-in and check-out, the app asks for access to the phone's location. From the app menu you can switch between light and dark modes.
An honest note
For now the app is Android-only and has just these seven tasks; the other Afrandeh modules, such as accounting and inventory, are available in the web version. An iOS version is not offered at the moment.
Who uses it most?
Staff whose attendance must be recorded, service technicians who work away from the office, and people responsible for entering shipments or following a document on site. To learn more about the after-sales side, see Afrandeh after-sales service.
